About Mike Taylor

Hi, my name is Mike Taylor, I am the UK Director and UK lead instructor of the Traditional Yang family Tai Chi Chuan International Association. After studying martial arts and going on to have a successful sporting career as a semi-professional soccer player, I started studying Tai Chi Chuan in 1997 with a number of leading Tai Chi masters including Grandmaster Yang Zhen Duo and Grandmaster Yang Jun (5th generation Yang family Tai Chi Chuan current lineage holder).

After my initial studies and research into Tai Chi Chuan, I decided to focus my studies on Traditional Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan with Grandmaster Yang Jun, and have been teaching Tai Chi for over 15 years. I am a full instructor member of the Tai Chi Union of Great Britain (TCUGB), and a qualified ‘Tuina’ (Traditional Chinese Medicine) Massage therapist.
